Add your server

Sign in to your owner account and save a private draft. Enter a hostname or public IP, not a website URL. Java normally uses TCP 25565; Bedrock normally uses UDP 19132. Use your actual port. Java SRV discovery is optional and does not apply to Bedrock.

Choose your community’s country and relevant gamemodes. The country is owner-declared, not inferred from the host IP. An unspecified country is allowed.

Write a public description and, optionally, add your website and a Discord invite. Banners must be static PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 2 MiB. Save your draft before uploading. A landscape preview is illustration, not a screenshot of your server.

Verify and publish

Generate a private ownership code and place the exact code in your server MOTD. Request a check and wait for a verified result. Codes expire after 15 minutes. Editing the saved information or media invalidates the old proof.

Submit the verified, saved revision for moderation. Saving a draft or clicking a verification button does not publish it. The public listing changes only after a moderator approves it. Keep verification codes out of ordinary public descriptions after the check.

Status without a plugin

The directory checks the Java or Bedrock status protocol. It can show observed availability, version, player counts and available server text. Failed or stale checks are not zero players. A ping does not provide your banner or recreate past history.

Player samples may be hidden or incomplete. Names appear publicly only when you enable sharing. History begins when observations are recorded, not when your server was first created.

MineRoster plugin

This is optional software for server administrators, not a Minecraft launcher or browser update. Players do not need it to browse, join a server or vote. The current MineRoster plugin is for Paper / Spigot with Java 21 or newer. It is not a plugin for native Bedrock Dedicated Server.

  1. Download the plugin

Use the project download below. Keep a copy of your server configuration before making plugin changes.

    Download MineRoster .jar

View plugin source code · SHA-256

  2. Install and restart

Put the .jar in your server’s plugins folder. Schedule a restart: it disconnects online players.

  3. Link in the server console

Open your owner integration page, choose the server and generate a pairing code. Run the command below in the server console, not player chat. The code expires in 10 minutes.

    mineroster link YOUR_PAIRING_CODEOpen integrations

The integration sends player names, stable identifiers and session events, not player IP addresses, chat or passwords. Public player sharing is optional. Names and events are retained for up to seven days. Missing heartbeats are not treated as zero players. Disconnecting revokes the plugin key immediately.

Java + Bedrock

A Java community using Geyser can offer a Bedrock address as well. Geyser + Floodgate allows the MineRoster Java plugin to identify Bedrock players. Both addresses must belong to the same owner and be verified; the public community has one vote ranking and player counts are not added twice.

Native Bedrock Dedicated Server can be listed and checked without this plugin. There is no native Bedrock telemetry adapter in the current download. Do not install the Java .jar on a native Bedrock server.

Vote rewards

NuVotifier v2 is optional. Install and configure it on your server, then prepare its port and token in your private owner reward settings after ownership verification. Tokens are never shown in public listings. Rewards require approved settings and successful delivery; voting does not require a reward plugin.

A reward notification is not proof of a player’s Minecraft account ownership. Never share your plugin token or pairing code in a public description.

MineRoster is an independent Minecraft server directory. Not an official Minecraft service. Not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft.
