Privacy information

MineRoster is a Minecraft server directory operated by an individual under the MineRoster project name. For questions about your information, contact [email protected].

Accounts and server listings

When you create an owner account, we process your email address, account name, password hash, verification and recovery records, and sign-in session. Discord sign-in also supplies the identifiers and profile information needed to connect your Discord identity to your account. We do not receive your Discord password.

We use this information to provide and secure your account and manage server submissions. Server descriptions, addresses, countries, approved media and optional Discord invite links are public when the listing is published. Do not submit private information in public descriptions.

Voting and abuse prevention

Voting uses your supplied Minecraft name and email, your network address, a Cloudflare Turnstile check and an IP reputation check with proxycheck.io. Your email and Minecraft name are not shown in the public vote count. An entered email or nickname does not prove that you own that identity.

We use pseudonymous identifiers to enforce one vote per IP per server in a rolling 24-hour period and supplementary identity limits. These identifiers are not anonymous while they can still be linked. The application removes the vote email, player and network linkage after 48 hours; the genuine vote record and count remain.

These checks protect the directory against automated and repeated votes. proxycheck.io receives the IP address needed for its check. Turnstile processes browser and network signals according to Cloudflare’s privacy information.

Server observations and players

We query listed Minecraft servers for available status information, including version and player counts. Player names or samples are shown only when the server provides them and its owner enables sharing. A linked MineRoster plugin can provide player names, Java/Bedrock identifiers and join/leave events; it does not send chat or player IP addresses through this integration.

Player samples and plugin player/event records are removed after seven days, or when sharing is disabled. Server status snapshots are removed after 30 days. These are scheduled application retention rules; backups and provider logs have separate lifecycles.

Optional audience statistics

Google Analytics is optional. It is loaded only after you accept analytics in Cookie settings. We measure public directory page visits without sending entered emails, Minecraft names, form contents, URL query strings or account identifiers. Account, administration, authentication and voting pages are excluded from page-view measurement.

Google receives technical information when its analytics script runs, including network information needed to communicate with its service. Analytics is not anonymous simply because we omit your name. Advertising signals and personalization are disabled in this integration. You can withdraw your choice in Cookie settings at any time; withdrawal stops future collection, not data already received.

Providers and international processing

Hosting infrastructure stores application data. Cloudflare provides delivery and security, OVH handles project email, Discord supports optional sign-in, proxycheck.io checks voting network eligibility, and Google provides optional analytics. Skin-face requests may be served using mc-heads.net through the website’s image service.

Providers may process information outside your country, including outside the EEA. Their applicable processing arrangements and transfer safeguards must be considered alongside this information. See Cloudflare, Discord, Google, and proxycheck.io.

Purposes, retention and your requests

Account and listing processing supports the service you request. Security and moderation processing protects the service and its users. Optional analytics relies on your consent. Account and moderation records are retained while needed for their purpose; this page does not claim a fixed deletion period where the application does not enforce one.

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability where applicable, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw analytics consent. Send your request to [email protected]. We may need proportionate verification before releasing or changing account data. The current account interface does not provide automatic account deletion.

You may also complain to the Lithuanian State Data Protection Inspectorate: vdai.lrv.lt. Do not submit another person’s email or private details without an appropriate basis.

Payments

Stripe processes one-time payments on its hosted Checkout page. Card details are entered directly with Stripe and are not stored by MineRoster. We send the order reference, product and EUR amount to Stripe and retain order, payment-status and entitlement records to provide purchased services and handle payment issues. Stripe may process payer, billing and device information under its own privacy terms.

Owner traffic statistics - optional

Only after analytics consent, MineRoster counts server profile views, successful IP copies and vote page opens. No form contents, email, Minecraft name or account identifier is sent. Each network counts at most once per event type, server and UTC day. Daily totals are retained for up to 90 UTC days and available only to the current server owner. Duplicate detection uses a network HMAC key scoped to each day and server, rather than a raw IP; keys are removed after the following UTC day through regular maintenance. These are not unique people. Accepted votes are accounted for separately; rejecting analytics does not prevent voting.
